Spears Creek is proud to partner with the ATEC program in Kershaw County Schools. Students from the agricultural/animal science program observe the daily routine of an animal clinic in order to get a "real world" view of what a career in the veterinary field looks like.
In partnership with Fostering Fosters, we are proud to participate in the Fixed Fosters program. Fixed Fosters makes neuters and spays available at no charge to the owner and in addition to the surgery, also provides a rabies vaccine. If you are interested in participating in this program, check out Fostering Fosters on Facebook and look for announcements about the Fixed Fosters program. Dr. King has always made it a point to be active in the community and share her wealth of knowledge to ensure that every pet has the best life possible and every pet owner can take care of their furever friends. In addition to serving her clients in the clinic, making farm calls, and working with local rescues, Dr. King has been a frequent guest on WIS as the Community Vet, works with ATEC to provide opportunities for Kershaw County School District students to gain experience working in the veterinary field, and has formed partnerships with local higher educational institutions to provide pharmacy students with a veterinary medicine rotation.
